Paws On Parade is a public art tourism project that looks to place creatively designed fiberglass dogs into your favorite parts of Lancaster County.  The best part is that you could design one!  Any resident of Lancaster County is eligible, as long as they are high school age or older.

Litter #1 of this project was limited to ten dogs and ten artists. In 2018, we found ten wonderful artists who gave us fantastic designs, and we are now in process of installing them at their forever homes.  Those locations are:

Sonnet at USC Lancaster
Patches at Stevens Park in Kershaw

Caroline Rose at Red Rose Park

Huey at the Historic Springs House

Skye at the Heath Springs Depot

Orion at the Wylie Street Pool

Alpha at the Del Webb Library in Indian Land

Fetch at Andrew Jackson State Park

Jacket at the Van Wyck Community Center

Judge at the Lancaster County Administration Building

Litter #2 will expand this project by at least ten more sculptures into Lancaster County.

This creative tourism project allows the Lancaster County Council of the Arts to celebrate and promote the artistic talents in our community as well as drive visitors to special locations all over our county.

Paws on Parade, a permanent art exhibit, will be installed in Lancaster County, north to south, in 2019.

In addition to the dogs that are out in Lancaster County, don't miss the Murals that have been created as well.  Located on Dunlap Street in Lancaster, these two murals feature sights all over Lancaster County, and various ways to see yourself in Lancaster.

As of August, 2019, Litter #1 has been fully installed and the design submission deadline for Litter #2 has passed, but we are looking for submissions for Litter #3!
